Red Rose Learning Community SIG Meeting: Monday, July 27

The Red Rose Learning Community is a SIG (special interest group) formed to create networking opportunities for ASTD members who reside or work in the Lancaster area. Of course, members outside the Lancaster area are welcome to join in too!
The group typically meets for coffee the last Monday of each month at 8 AM. The focus of each meeting is the current issue of the ASTD journal - T&D.

One of the values of being an ASTD member is to get together and share our challenges and accomplishments with each other--a type of "informal learning" that helps each of us grow in our profession.

Get together "electronically" through our Members Bulletin Board where you can view and post news and topics of discussion for input by other members.
Simply log in to our Members section (how do you log in? Your Central PA ASTD Membership card lists your log-in and password). Once you are in the "Members" section, click on the "Bulletin Board" tab. You can view the Bulletin Board entries, but to post an entry, you will need to create your own sign-on and password (instructions can be found on the Bulletin Board), which you will use to participate in the Bulletin Board.

Note: Your Central PA ASTD Member Login and your Bulletin Board Login are not the same.

Be sure to check out our Members Menu for:

  • Position Referral: Where ASTD members can View and Post Jobs
  • Newsletter: View our most recent newsletter in addition to past newsletters! (New Feature!)
  • Past Programs: View our past programs and access the presenters' handouts
  • Member Directory: Search for other members by name, company, and training discipline.

    If you are a National ASTD member you have a library on your desktop. Simply sign in on www.astd.org, and go to the ASTD Online Library. Within a few keystrokes you will be able to search and read full text articles from more than 3000 of the most respected periodicals, journals, and magazines available through the Business Source Corporate database. And that's not all.
